Davis Shores Saint Augustine Florida
Davis Shores was one of the first neighborhoods on Anastasia Island. The homes available in the community are very diverse, ranging from 50's and 60's ranch homes to gorgeous new high-end construction. There are waterfront homes along the Intracoastal waterway and many affordable houses inland. Some of the waterfront homes on Inlet drive and Avista circle have outstanding views of the historic area of St. Augustine and the fort - Castillo de San Marcos. There are Intracoastal front homes on Dolphin Drive that have a beautiful view of St. Augustine as well. Several condo communities within Davis Shores offer waterfront condos with docks and boat slips, such as Salt Run, Inlet Place and Corona Del Mar Condos. Commercial real estate goes through the middle of the neighborhood, with restaurants, shops and specialty food stores. A lot of the people I work with like Davis Shores' convenient location to downtown and the beaches. It's also a good spot for someone looking for a reasonably priced home for a Flagler College student. On the east side of Davis Shores is an area known as Salt Run. Lighthouse Park is located at Salt Run. The park has a public boat ramp, tennis courts and the historic St. Augustine lighthouse. Anastasia State Park is just down the street, with one of the areas only non-driving beaches. If you like the water, it's a great place for boating, fishing, jet-skis and kayaks. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is nearby too, with many night time activities, including concerts with famous performers and free activities for the kids.
